Digital Content Protection LLC (DCP) is an organization that licenses technologies for protecting premium commercial entertainment content. The SL-8800 has been designed to ensure the secure delivery of premium content such as 4K Ultra HD by validating that source, sink, and repeater devices are compliant to the HDCP 2.2 specification. The SL-8800 protocol analyzer supports Version 2.0 of the HDMI® specification and is upgradable to support the MHL® 3.0 specification with an SL-8800-M3X adapter module.
