The HDMI Specification combines uncompressed high-definition video, multi-channel audio, and data in a single digital interface to provide crystal-clear digital quality over a single cable. Simplay Labs has developed products specifically designed to test for HDMI compliance and interoperability.
SL-889 HDMI 2.1 Cat-3 Cable EMI Tester
The SL-889 HDMI 2.1 Cat-3 Cable EMI Test Tool is designed to validate HDMI Category 3 cables for EMI compliance with the latest High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) 2.1 Specification. This tool has been approved by the HDMI Forum Board of Directors for its use in certification of EMI compliance of Ultra High Speed HDMI cables. The SL-889 is developed to provide a calibrated source and reception sink of an actual HDMI 2.1 signal to be used to test radiated emission levels of HDMI cables for compliance. The SL-889 is meant for use in EMI test chambers that can perform CISPR-32 test scans.

The SL-870 eARC Protocol Analyzer is designed to validate source and sink devices for compliance with the latest High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) 2.1 eARC Specification. It supports end user requirements for interoperability and compliance of eARC devices with HDMI 2.1 CTS Test Specification. The analyzer is essential for debugging interoperability issues between eARC devices and can also be used as an eARC audio transmitter or receiver.
The SL-870 supports comprehensive operational testing of the eARC standard.
Supports capture and display of common mode control structures and messages.Audio Testing
The SL-870 generates the most common audio streams for compliance with CTS test suite. User-supplied audio can also be input to or extracted from the eARC stream via the SL-870’s extensive I/O via the following back panel connectors:
The SL-881 6G Handheld HDMI/MHL Audio and Video Generator (SL-881 AVG) is designed for testing source, sink, or repeater devices, and is compliant to the latest HDMI® 2.0a and MHL® 3.x specifications. The SL-881 AVG can be used either to generate audio and video test patterns, or when equipped with optional features operate as a generator/analyzer to validate HDMI 2.0a Compliance Test Specification (CTS) test IDs for Status and Control Data Channel (SCDC) signals. With its 4.3 inch color touch screen display and user friendly GUI, the SL-881 AVG is easy to use and is designed to expedite HDMI 2.0a- and MHL 3.x-compliant product development.
