LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7, 2008 — At the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Simplay Labs, LLC, the leading provider of testing technologies, programs and interoperability and performance design standards for the high-definition (HD) consumer electronics industry, today announced the launch of the Simplay HD Consumer Support Service for end-to-end Simplay HD verified products. This new service extends Simplay Labs’ solutions beyond its HD technology and testing expertise for manufacturers through to the consumer.
“Our mission is to assist manufacturers and retailers in providing the best in-home experience for their customers,” said Joseph L. Lias, president of Simplay Labs. “The new Consumer Support Services program assures reduced product returns and service calls, and gives consumers the no-hassle home entertainment experience they expect.” Simplay Labs will be partnering with retailers and manufacturers to promote the service to its Simplay HD customers as well as to assist their existing consumer support programs.
Consumers who purchase an end-to-end Simplay HD verified system will have the opportunity to use complimentary installation assistance and troubleshooting services offered by Simplay Labs to help them achieve the highest quality set-up, operation and performance of their new HD home theater products. Web-based connection guides and troubleshooting tools available at www.simplaylabs.com/consumers will help consumers get their new systems operating quickly and easily.
Additionally, consumers will be able to contact expert technicians at Simplay Labs for personalized, live assistance, with one-on-one telephone support provided free for the first 120 minutes. Phone support will be offered Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. PST. This is a unique opportunity for consumers to speak to qualified lab technicians and engineers rather than non-technical call center operators. It also provides early adopters and technology enthusiasts an unmatched source of information by tapping into Simplay Labs team members who develop the HD technologies used in many of the high-definition consumer electronics available in the marketplace.
